Why You Need A Paludarium Heater
Paludariums are a great way to create a variety of habitats in one enclosure, with an arboreal space above and an aquatic one below. They make a superb home for a variety of pets including frogs, toads and some tropical reptiles. Whether you keep a single species, or add fish to your aquatic habitat, maintaining a stable water temperature is essential for good health of all the inhabitants.
Unlike a heat mat, this heater can be submerged into the water to control its temperature. The built in thermostat allows you to ensure the water remains at your set temperature even when you use additional heating sources or light fixtures timed to recreate a natural daily cycle in the aerial habitat.
How To Use This Heater
Use the easy controls to set the temperature on your heater to the level you require. Once you've added your water to your paludarium simply attach this heater to the side of the glass using the suction cup provided. Allow a few hours for the water to come up to temperature before adding occupants. To ensure an even temperature the heater is best placed next to the pump and filter to heat the circulating water. This heater has a built-in automatic shut-off facility that will immediately stop the heater should water levels fall too low or if the heater is removed from water.
