Using Your Heat Mat

These heat mats are designed to aid the temperature gradient in your terrarium by providing a large area of consistent heat. In most cases you will need to add a basking spot lamp and UVB light source, but the precise setup will vary depending on the pet you are keeping.

The great thing about these mats is that they have built-in temperature control, so you don't need to add a separate thermostat. Just set the easy to use dial to your desired temperature, then use the adhesive backing to stick the mat to the exterior of the terrarium, either on the base or on one of the sides.
