What Are Firebrats?
A firebrat is a small wingless insect sometimes known as a bristle tail. They like warm places and are similar to the silverfish you may sometimes see in your home. As a livefood, they are a great choice when you need a food that is larger than springtails and fruit flies but still small enough to feed to animals such as mantids, mourning geckos, spiderlings and other small reptiles, amphibians and inverts.
How To Keep Firebrats
As with all livefoods it is important to keep your firebrats in tip top condition before feeding them to your pet. Firebrats prefer warmth so keep them somewhere suitable and feed with a starch based insect food as well as any supplements you desire before feeding to your pet.
