This basking lamp uses a halogen bulb which can be up to 15% more efficient than tungsten bulbs of the same wattage. It also directs its heat and light more accurately, reducing the heating of the surrounding area and creating a more concentrated basking spot rather than just increasing the ambient air temperature. As a result, it becomes easier for your to create and maintain a suitable heat gradient across your enclosure and provide maximum benefits to the wellbeing of your pet.

For best results, use a suitable thermostat and combine with a UVB light source to ensure your pet reptile is getting all the correct wavelengths they require. The bulb should be placed at least 50cm from the area your pet when they are using the basking spot.
