Designed For Basking

The Exo-Terra Intense Spot Lamp has been designed especially for creating basking areas.  Whist other solar basking lamps will heat a specific area within a terrarium or vivarium, they also heat the surrounding area and the air within the enclosure, creating that temperature gradient that is vital for your pet's health. The intense spot lamp can be used alongside other heat and UVB light sources to create an area within the enclosure specifically for basking - great for desert species that love to bask on rocks etc. It has a narrower, but more intense beam of heat and light, directing all that energy into a smaller area than traditional lamps and allowing you to create a basking area that is much warmer than it's immediate surroundings.

Because of the increased intensity of this lamp it can be placed further away from the basking area than other lamps, making it ideal for use in larger, taller setups where a normal basking lamp can't fully penetrate the complete depth of the enclosure.

Combine With UVB Lights For Overall Health

This lamp produces UVA rays which will aid your pets phycological wellbeing but it should be used in conjunction with other light sources that produce UVB rays for complete support.
