How It Works
This fantastic new lighting system from Arcadia gives you full control over your vivarium lighting making the standard on/off only options a thing of the past. Once you've installed your lighting system download the free app then use the bluetooth connectivity to link up your lights to your phone or app. Use this to programme in your lighting requirements. Decide when you want the lights to turn on, control the brightness and increase intensity to recreate a natural sunrise, determine how long you want the midday sun to last then reverse it all for a naturalistic sunset. You can even programme in changes across a season to help promote natural behaviours including breeding and brumation.
What Happens If There's A Power Cut?
The lighting unit includes a small battery that will retain your programming for a short time if the power is interrupted, either though unplugging the unit or a power cut. Once electricity is reinstated the lamp will reconnect with the WiFi and continue at the correct part of the cycle, so you won't need to reset the timer. If the unit is left unplug for an extended period the battery can be easily changed. Please note, the battery only powers the memory and will not run the lighting unit.
How To Install Your LumenIZE System
The light kits come with everything you need to get started. Thanks to the easy use lamp holders you can quickly connect your bulb to the starter unit ready to plug it in. The kit also includes a reflector that will direct more valuable light into the enclosure.
You can rest the light kit over mesh vivarium lids or suspend it (where safe to do so) within a wooden vivarium. If you have multiple units such as the stackable Vivexotic vivariums, use the linking leads to connect your lights together and power them from a single socket.
What Is The LumenIZE system?
This innovative lighting system from Arcadia allows you to gain complete control over your lighting regime. Create natural light patterns with sunrise and sunset effects rather than the old fashioned on/off options, dim lights when required and increase intensity to recreate seasonal and daily circadian cycles. Each lighting unit can be individually controlled using the free and easy LumenIZE app, removing the need for timer plugs and units. Furthermore, you can connect up to 10 units to a single power source using the linking cables whilst still retaining individual control over each of the units in the chain.
