What Can Eat Mini Mealworms
Mini mealworms are a great choice for feeding smaller exotic pets such as leopard geckos, younger inverts such as growing tarantulas and medium sized frogs and other amphibians.
Make your mealworms even more beneficial by dusting them with calcium or supplement of vitamins and minerals to keep your pet in tip top condition.
Mini Mealworm Care
Mealworms will happily live in the plastic tubs they are shipped in. Keep your mealworms in a cool, dark location and feed them on bran or use an insect food to ensure their are fully gut-loaded before feeding to your pet.
Most mealworms will last for a few weeks before pupating into beetle larvae and finally into beetles. They will shed their skin as they grow and you can spot the whiter mealworms in the tub as this happens. At this point they are softer on the outside as their new skin hardens, so may be more appetising to fussy eaters.
