What Is A Step Fruit?

Step fruit is the dried legume, or pea pod, of the Inga tree. A completely natural decoration that is sustainably sourced, the smooth outer surface contrasts nicely with the ridged, or stepped, inner surface where the individual seeds used to be.

How To Use Step Fruit?

This dried seed pod can be used in a variety of ways to decorate your terrarium. Each one is about 12 inches long but can be snapped or bent to fit. As well as looking extremely decorative, the individual steps are a great resource to enable climbing behaviours in smaller pets such as jumping spiders. They can also be laid across the surface of your bioactive setup to provide a refuge for your clean-up crew.
