Larger than your typical earthworm, these lob worms are a great treat for a variety of animals. They are healthy and hearty, with a high level of calcium and fats.
What Can Eat Lob Worms
You can use these worms as a treat for larger reptiles such as monitors and bearded dragons. They are fantastic for Pacman frogs (horned toads) but we don’t recommend them for axolotls as they don’t seem to like the texture (feed them earthworms instead). Because they are high in fat are great for recuperating or older animals but should be fed to other animals in moderation.
Lob Worm Care
Keeping these worms is simple, just pop them somewhere cool, dark and dry after arrival. They are supplied in a small amount of substrate and will last for about 7 days, so make sure you use them soon after delivery. The breeder ensures they are well fed and gut loaded before they are shipped so you don’t need to provide any extra food.
