How To Use Bug Gel
Using bug gel is really simple. Just add enough bug gel to a small dish as your livefood requires in a day, then pop it in their container. The bowl should be of a size that lets the insects climb in and out, but have high enough sides to prevent too much substrate from getting in it.
Replace the bug gel daily. If left longer it can start to encourage mould as it is contaminated with substrate and uneaten food, which can be harmful to your livefood.
Do I Need To Add Insect Food As Well?
Yes, this is certainly advisable. We feed our live food on high quality foods, including organic fresh greens, prior to delivery to ensure they reach you in the best condition. However, if you plan to keep your livefood for more than a couple of days it will need feeding. To make sure livefood is in optimial condition prior to feeding to your pets, we always advise gut-loading livefood with a suitable insect food like ProRep Bug Grub
