ProRep Desert Sand

This sand substrate is designed for use in arid and desert setups and with species from dry environments.

• Natural silica based sand
• Washed and dried before packing
• Free from heavy metals and contaminants
• Can be safely dampened to increase humidity

How To Use This Substrate

To decorate your enclosure, spread a layer of sand up to 5cm thick across the floor. Avoid placing the substrate directly over heat mats and cables to prevent the creation of hot spots. This substrate can be sculpted into thicker areas or mini dunes, and piled around the base of decorative items to aid stability. You can also add moisture to certain areas such as under hides, to increase humidity and aid shedding.

Spot clean daily and use a sand scoop to remove larger items of debris.
