Why Use A Dimming Thermostat
Traditional on/off thermostats work by turning power on to a device and keeping it heating until it slightly exceeds the desired temperature. It then turns the power off until the temperature drops enough to trigger the device to switch back on. The result is your heating device is constantly turnning off, then on, then off....... which can lead to energy inefficiencies. A dimming thermostat graduates the power so temperature is controlled more accurately without switching your devices constantly off and on.
Not all heat producing devices are compatible with a dimming thermostat so please make sure yours is before you connect it.
This dimming thermostat features a waterproof sensor making it ideal for use in large aquatic environments such as ponds.
