Why Use Bioactive Bugs Food?
If you have a bioactive setup you may notice that your isopods and bugs munch on the odd live plant or décor. This is because, despite eating all the leftover food and waste from your pets, they sometimes like a little bit extra in their diet.
Furthermore, if your pet likes the occasional isopod as a calcium rich snack, ensuing they've been fed on the best bug food first is a fantastic way to give your pet an extra boost.
How To Use
Shredded willow bark is a great way to provide extra ground cover. Simply scatter over the ground in your enclosure and let your isopods explore. If your pet does like to eat isopods, this extra cover will force them to search more for their food, mimicking more natural behaviours and providing enrichment. The leaves will also provide a snack for the isopods themselves.
You can also use shredded willow bark as a thin mulch that will enrich the soil and provide nutrition to your plants as it decays.
